Loop – Habit Tracker

Loop helps you create and maintain good habits, allowing you to achieve your long-term goals. Detailed graphs and statistics show you how your habits improved over time. The app is completely ad-free and open source.

Simple, beautiful and modern interface
Loop has a minimalistic interface that is easy to use and follows the material design guidelines.

Habit score
In addition to showing your current streak, Loop has an advanced formula for calculating the strength of your habits. Every repetition makes your habit stronger, and every missed day makes it weaker. A few missed days after a long streak, however, will not completely destroy your entire progress.

Detailed graphs and statistics
Clearly see how your habits improved over time with beautiful and detailed graphs. Scroll back to see the complete history of your habits.

Flexible schedules
Supports both daily habits and habits with more complex schedules, such as 3 times every week; one time every other week; or every other day.

Reminders
Create an individual reminder for each habit, at a chosen hour of the day. Easily check, dismiss or snooze your habit directly from the notification, without opening the app.

Optimized for smartwatches
Reminders can be checked or dismissed directly from your Android Wear watch.

Completely ad-free and open source
There are absolutely no advertisements, annoying notifications or intrusive permissions in this app, and there will never be. The complete source code is available under the GPLv3.

I completely rely on notifications to check in with my habits, but clicking on the notification very frequently sends me to the have details page instead of checking the habit, and I can’t figure out a way to check a have from that screen, i need to first go back to the habits index and then click on the habit. Another thing: I still find it very unintuitive that the checks for a habit go left instead of right. Time goes right on every other app and chart that I have ever used.

  2. Missing two key features: the ability to repeat tasks on specific days (like every Mon, Wed, Fri) and the ability to perform a task more than once per day.

  3. Love this app!!! Thanks so much for putting this out into the world. Btw snooze is no longer an option since the last update, at least not on my phone (Pixel).

  4. It’s a nice habit tracker and very nice charts and details looking back on things. Only request is to provide a “don’t check” option in the notification actions or remove the option to make notifications sticky. There’s no way to make the notification go away if you didn’t do the thing or can’t …Full ReviewIt’s a nice habit tracker and very nice charts and details looking back on things. 5. I love how simple and easy it is. It sends me reminders that I can just click yes or no, so I don’t go into the app all the time. I only wish it had ability to track multiple occurrences daily.

  6. Love this app, helps me track my habits, easy to use, I love that you can check off a habit directly from the notification, I love that you can choose the colour of each habit too.

  7. The best habit app out there. The others I’ve tried have either required payment to use the full app or they try to create and manipulate your goals for you. Interface is very user-friendly.

  8. This is great, I use the widget with the buttons only but because they are on my screen it reminds me to meditate so I can tick it off, it gives me satisfaction

  9. The app would be better if it was able to create not only reminders but also alarms. It’s so much useful and is helping me a lot, Thank you

  10. Very good app and I love the widgets most! They allow for easy viewing of my progress! One thing to note, I just updated my S7 to android oreo Samsung Exp ver 9 and somehow I can’t seem to press ‘later’ on my notfication screen anymore. Do assist if possible. 11. Fantastic! It does really good job. Would like some improvements though. Still as a free and a very small app nothing can top it!

  12. I mostly like the app. It’s helpful for checking off on task lists or new habits. My one struggle is that I wish it had cateogories or something so I can hide the ones I don’t need at the moment. For example, if some habits are related to exercise and some related to furthering education, I would love to hide the habits that I can’t work on at the moment so I can concentrate on the ones I can without having to scroll through. While I do have them sorted by category, I have several categories…so if I’m working on the ones at the bottom of the list, it can be very inconvenient! Otherwise, I love the color coding and being able to see my history of success! Thanks!

  13. This app is amazing! I love having a list of things I need to do everyday, with a motivating little row of checks. Making sure there aren’t any gaps in the checks is suprisingly a great way to motivate me.

  14. Guys this app changed my life..!!! I mean really go ahead..!this can definitely bring a change in your life.unlike other habit apps this is more clean and clear with no complicated interface ..short,straight and beautiful!!! Loved it soo much!!

  15. I downloaded all of the habit apps to look at all of them first hand, and this one is by far the best! Open source code means the developers want the best user experience, and this definitely shines through. This app is wonderful! With out a doubt the best habit tracker out there!

  16. Its a basic list of stuff to do. You can tick off each item each day and track your progress. Very simple and that’s perfect.

  17. I recently got diagnosed with high blood pressure, so I was prescribed pills to take every day, twice a day. I knew I would always forget to take my pills, so I downloaded this app to remind me. I wasn’t expecting it to work so well! I love the reminders and being able to check it off. I knew I would always forget to take my pills, so I downloaded this app to remind me. I wasn’t expecting it to work so well! I love the reminders and being able to check it off. I’ve started using this app to help me form other habits as well. Highly recommended!

  18. I’ve been looking for a replacement to Keep Track since the developer changed the monitization model some time ago. I’ve tried but never been happy with others; I think the search might finally be over. Open Source is a good plus. *Editing the name of an item doesn’t always update the list?
